Like a seashell, the spherical spiral emanates from a central inner point moving progressively farther away. The box’s digital image, using Myriad Pro typeface (2000), represents an infinite spiral (see also →8♣), which is a Neolithic symbol found in the Megalithic Temples of Malta from 3,600-700BC and UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1980, extended in 1992 to include other prehistoric Maltese temple sites (→Ace♠, Queen♣). Perhaps our ancestors were inspired by the Maltese Topshell (ġibbula ta’ Malta) by now a very rare species endemic to the Maltese Waters.
